Did some hiking and some exercises at the gym. Didn’t eat all that well but not that bad either. It will be interesting to see what the scale says Wednesday.
Friday and Saturday I spent walking around the woods and then Sunday I hit the gym.
You might notice that the start and end are not at the same location, I took a Lyft back to the my car after I realized I didn’t want to hike anymore. It wasn’t like I couldn’t have turned around I just didn’t want to.
Spatchcocked a turkey! I saw it was on sale at Stop and Shop for $7.50!!! I couldn’t resist. After we make turkey you know what’s next!!! Stock!
Added a few bay leafs, and we had some carrots and celery in the vegetable drawer. The key to stock is to not stir it and let it simmer at 170-175 for at least 3-4 hours, I let mine go overnight. Strained all of it and put it in mason jars and in the fridge, going to make some soup and put the rest in the freezer.
Joining my employer’s biggest loser program to try to help me focus on losing weight, if I lose 27lbs in 12 weeks I get $100 or something like that. Which is basically what I need to do anyway so I figured why not sign up.
Headed back on the road to Florida tomorrow, I think it will be easier to go on the road where I am super busy and there is much less temptation around food. At least it is all made for me and eaten at specific times throughout the day. I need to drink more water though!
